So to continue on from pt.1 this post will focus on the Connect Music Festival that I played last month. This was by far one of the most fun weekend festivals I have ever attended. Been a long time

DJ Fat Tony, born and raised in Saskatoon, SK. Was introduced to the Electronic music scene from attending many huge parties by Lucky Charms Productions and Good Life Promotions.

As Tony’s interest in Dance music grew, so did his passion for vinyl. He purchased his first set of Techs, & took to the art of mixing quickly. After a succession of parties, Fat Tony moved to Calgary where he became involved in the scene once again & teamed up with DigaBoo. DigaBoo & Fat Tony instantly became inseparable, evolving & tweaking Tony’s sound & styles from Hard House to a Funky Electro House.

Fat Tony got his first official DJ gig at the massive “Blue Party” in Saskatoon SK. feat. DJ BAM BAM. From there Tony has gone onto play local Calgary club nights, such as Ctrl Thursdays at Cherry Lounge. Today DJ Fat Tony has become half the wildly popular Make Shift Deejays with DigaBoo & is becoming one of Western Canada favorite new and upcoming DJ’s.

Tantric Decks aka Steve Velocity is a DJ/Producer from Calgary, Canada. He grew up playing a diverse range of musical instruments, then in 2002 he discovered his true passion, the production studio.

Steve has played many club nights, parties, and festivals over the years including regular appearances at Inshala, Astral Harvest, and Motion Notion festivals. His tracks have been released on record labels including Audio Planet Recordings, Epidemic Recordings, Malpractice Records, and Badbwoy Bass Records. His music has received DJ support from Far Too Loud, Jay Cunning, Angel Farringdon, Breakfastaz, Degree (of Knight Riderz), Soulfix, Bassnectar, Subvert, and many more.

He can currently be found rocking the decks at Sal's on 17th in Calgary every Thursday night for Movement Thursday's. Anyone that has heard him play before can tell you he has a very eclectic sound, ranging anywhere from Electro and Fidget to Dubstep and DnB . Expect nothing but high energy and an ass shaking good time with every set he plays.

Chris Chong - Starting DJing back in 2003.After making his debut @ a community center in 2004 Chris started out playing and @ various locations such as Warehouse, Tequila, J-Bar, Static, Soda and various community centers.

In 2008 Chris put DJing on the back burner while he concentrated on work and school. 2 years passed and he couldn't stay away any longer.

Michael K’s extreme passion for music, the art of performing and entertaining a crowd can be seen with everything he does. Blasting into the DJ scene in 2008 he was a strong talent who’s uncanny ability to please and tease the crowd was more than apparent. His musicology and supreme knowledge of all genres of music from the 50’s to now has made him a frontrunner. He has made appearances at Sal’s on 17th, Soda, Wild Afterhours, Forever 21 chinook mall,Costa Blanca, southcenter, and numerous other venues. His experience also includes numerous weddings, birthdays, house parties and a residency in Sylvan Lake. He has taken his first steps in producing. His fast and continued growth is truly amazing Not to be Missed.
